PNWAIAA members are invited to present a workshop at the 2017 Expanding Your Horizons conference for high school girls, which will be Friday, March 24, 2017.
What is Expanding Your Horizons?
-A Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) career conference for 600 girls in grades 9-12.
Why Should You Present?
-To provide girls with information and encourage them to take STEM courses through their high school and college years.
-To provide hands-on career-related activities and to give them an example of a successful woman working in STEM-related areas.
What Would You Need To Do?
-Complete a Workshop Presenter Information Form describing your workshop.
-Present 3 repeat sessions of a 60-minute hands-on workshops on Friday, March 24, 2017.
-Arrive by 7:30am to set up. Start the first session at 8:30. Each session is usually attended by approximately 8-15 girls. The conference ends at 1pm.
How is EYH organized?
-Expanding Your Horizons is organized and presented by Eastside branches of AAUW (American Association of University Women), and is co-sponsored by Bellevue College.
-Brochures are sent to local high schools for workshop sign-ups. Girls pre-register for the conference.
-Presenter training sessions will be offered prior to the conference date.
-There is no cost to presenters, and a free lunch is provided.

-As soon as you let Ginny know you are interested, she will send you the Workshop Presenter Information Form to fill out. This is a simple form where you describe your workshop and register for the conference.
-There is a November 15 deadline for our 2017 brochure, so a prompt response would be appreciated.
