His work is applied and forward-looking\, spanning conceptual design of aircraft\, system-of-systems thinking\, uncertainty/optimization methods\, and collaboration between academia/industry/government. The scale of his impact (many graduates\, many research projects\, industry/government partnerships) gives him visibility beyond a conventional professor role. His position at Georgia Tech (a globally recognized aerospace engineering institution) further amplifies his profile.
