To help promote aerospace education activities in K-12 classrooms, the Pacific Northwest AIAA will reimburse up to an additional $250 beyond the AIAA national grant to encourage and support classroom activities in the Pacific Northwest.
Teachers interested in these grants initiate the process by applying for a $500 national AIAA grant. Once approved for a national grant, our PNW AIAA section will, if the grant proposal amount exceeds $500, reimburse up to an additional $250. This can provide up to $750 for an aerospace-focused classroom project like the EPIC STEM Challenge.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- be a K-12 formal or informal teacher
- reside in Washington, Oregon, Idaho or Alaska (USA) or Yuokn or British Columbia (Canada)
- be a current AIAA Educator Associate- Join here for free
For grant submission cycles, visit our Classroom Grants page on our national AIAA web site. Review the Classroom Grant Guidelines and submit an application.
Once your national AIAA grant has been approved, forward that approval email along with your receipts to STEM@pnwaiaa.org and our PNW AIAA section will reimburse amounts in excess of the $500 covered by the national grant, up to an additional $250.
