“Experiences aboard the International Space Station” June 15th at Paine Field

The Future of Flight Foundation presents Astronaut Mike Foreman speaking on his experiences aboard the International Space Station. Mike has been with NASA for 15 years, and his space flight mission experience includes:

  • 16 days and 250 orbits in 2008 on STS-123, involving a night launch, a night landing and three spacewalks totaling 19½ EVA, and
  • 11 days and 171 orbits in 2009 on STS-129, delivering 30,000 pounds of payload to the station, and performing two spacewalks totaling almost 13 hours EVA

He’s also had technical duties in the Astronaut Office Space Station Branch, representing the Astronaut Office on training issues, served as liaison between the Johnson Space Center and the Kennedy Space Center, and as deputy of the Space Shuttle Branch. He is currently assigned to the Exploration Branch of the Astronaut Office, working on the Commercial Crew Development Program.

The presentation is at the Future of Flight Aviation Center, 8415 Paine Field Blvd. in Mukilteo, 1:00pm – 1:45pm June 15th, and is free to the public.
