Join us for our regular AIAA Retiree’s session, temporarily held via Zoom online until Museum of Flight hybrid meetings can again be held in person. In our November event, we will hear about the British bombing of the Falkland Islands and how they managed the logistical issues associated with such a long-distance target. Bob Tuxford, who flew a Victor tanker on that mission, will give us unique insight into the support required for the Vulcan bombers. Join us to get involved in the mission “Black Buck 1”.
Registration is required: Please click on this link to register no later than Thursday Nov. 18th
Connecting from a computer that has the Zoom software installed would be useful so you can see and hear the presentation. If your computer has a camera (so we can see you), and a microphone (so we can hear you) that would be best. Connecting sound via phone is also an option if that works better for you than using a computer microphone and speakers. If you need help registering or connecting, please contact Karl Rein-Weston.
Date: Saturday, November 20, 2021
Time: 9:00-11:00 AM Pacific Time
Cost: Free for now
Expect to receive a reminder a day or so before Saturday 20th. You need not be an AIAA member nor a retiree to attend.
