Upekesha Ngugi is a DO-178C software certification lead. Her past roles included working on flight deck, aerial refueling display systems. Upekesha developed future flight deck improvements using 6-degree-of-freedom simulations. She has authored industry guidance for detect and avoid. She holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering. She co-founded the Society of Women Engineers Mentoring Committee which has been active for over 7 years and co-led a technical development program for 27 women engineers.
