Speakers will be assigned to a classroom for the day and groups of students will rotate through the speakers. Each classroom is equipped with a projector and document camera.
Expectations:
You will be sharing for approximately 15-20 minutes with 7th and 8th grade students about:
- Your “pathway” – how did you get to where you are (education, major, college experience, etc.)
- What you do and why you like it
- How it connects to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Math)
If you would rather do a 35 – 40 minute presentation, we do have some room for this in the schedule but would need to know right away.
Format:
Options include, but are not limited to:
- Powerpoint
- Hands-on (props, experiment, engineering challenge, etc.)
- Interactive activity
- Stations
